Hi! My name is Livio Ferretti. Since March 2025, I am a postdoc at the University of Glasgow, funded by a Swiss SNF Postdoc.Mobility grant. I will be in Glasgow until February 2027. Previously, from September 2023 to Febraury 2025, I was a postdoc at the University of Geneva, in the group of David Cimasoni. Before moving to Geneva, I did my PhD at the University of Bern, where I obtained my PhD degree in Mathematics in June 2023 under the supervision of Sebastian Baader. Here is my CV .

I am broadly interested in low-dimensional topology and knot theory, with a special focus on classical topological and combinatorial link invariants, fibred knots and positive braids. I am also interested in interactions with singularity theory, as well as surface topology and the study of mapping class groups. Here are links to my Orcid and ResearchGate pages.
