Hi! My name is Livio Ferretti. Since September 2023, I am a postdoc at the University of Geneva, in the group of David Cimasoni. Before moving to Geneva, I was a PhD student at the University of Bern, where I obtained my PhD degree in Mathematics in June 2023 under the supervision of Sebastian Baader. Here is my CV .

I was recently awarded an SNF Postdoc.Mobility grant, that I will use to visit the University of Glasgow for two years, starting from March 2025.

I am broadly interested in low-dimensional topology and knot theory, with a special focus on classical topological and combinatorial link invariants, fibred knots and positive braids. I am also interested in interactions with singularity theory, as well as surface topology and the study of mapping class groups.
